LT Filiaga stated at linebacker in the first game in Screaming Eagles history, a 78-47 loss to the Nebraska Danger. Filiaga recorded three total tackles (two solo).
Filiaga led the team in tackles in their Week 2 win over the Colorado Crush, recording seven tackles, all solo.
Filiaga's college career began at the University of Utah after starring for Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah. He played in 11 games and started two as a redshirt freshman for the Utes in 2012, recording 32 tackles, including two tackles for loss. The Utah native also had a forced fumble during the season.
He appeared in nine games as a sophomore in 2013, recording three tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup.
Filiaga transferred to Utah State for his final two seasons. He played in 23 games during his two-year career at Utah State, including 22 starts. He finished his Aggies' career with 139 tackles, including one sack and seven tackles for loss, while adding four pass breakups, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.
He signed a free agent deal with the Philadelphia Eagles for the 2016 NFL season.
