Ben Compton recorded two tackles in the first win in Screaming Eagles history, a Week 2 defeat of the Colorado Crush.
Compton had a monster game in Week 7 vs. Coloado, recording three tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.
Compton started his college career at Monroe College (N.Y.) where he earned first team All-Northeast Football Conference honors as a sophomore. He finished with 59 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks in two seasons at Monroe.
After transferring to Northern Illinois for his junior season, Compton appeared in all 14 games. He recorded 26 total tackles with 14 solo stops. During his senior year he saw action in every game except the season opener versus UNLV. He played his best football late in the season with five tackles for loss and three sacks in the Huskies’ last four MAC games, including the MAC Championship. He made 16 of his 22 tackles in those contests.
